Online Mediation

• Our online mediations are conducted via online platforms including Zoom and Modron Spaces.  
• You will need a device (computer, laptop, phone or tablet) with a microphone, and ideally a camera.
• Headphones are not compulsory but do improve the sound quality.  
• Please ensure you have a fast, stable internet connection.
• For Zoom mediations you will need to have the Zoom App on your device.  

A few days prior to the mediation:

• The parties send us an email address for each participant intending to log on remotely.
• Each participant will then receive a link via email, so they can access the online mediation platform.  
• First-time users should do a quick test run 1-2 days prior to the mediation, to ensure there is adequate time to address any technology issues.  This can be done by clicking on the link to access the platform.

• Make sure you have logged out of other video conferencing programs (Skype, Microsoft Teams, Webex etc) because they commandeer the camera and microphone of your device. 
• In the event of a poor internet connection, the fallback is audio/telephone.  
• Each participant must commit to being physically present in front of their device at the time of the mediation (ie not leaving their device, attending another mediation etc)

• This mediation service is included in our standard mediation fee.
• Your organisation does NOT require a paid subscription to access the Zoom or Modron platforms via our links. 
•  In many cases the parties will avoid the higher cost of securing physical mediation rooms.
